What is the theme for LGBT History Month 2025? LGBT+ History Month 2025 ? The theme for LGBT History Month 2025 is Activism and Social Change. Throughout history LGBT+ people have been activists and helped shape and create social change, advancing society for everyone. February is a poignant month in LGBT history. It was chosen for LGBT History Month to coincide with the abolition of Section 28 in 2003, a policy that prohibited the promotion of homosexuality.Why is LGBT History Month important? There are many reasons why LGBT History Month is important. From school to business, national to global politics, each sector benefits differently from the annual event.
