Holding The Man at Upstairs @ The Gatehouse
Tommy Murphys classic adaptation of Timothy Conigraves award-winning memoir is a hilarious, warm and heartbreaking masterpiece. Amongst the normalised chaos at a 1970s Melbourne High School, young Tim falls hopelessly in love with John, the captain of the football team, starting an unconventional love story that rockets through changing times. With a cast of six playing over forty unique characters between them, including students, parents, Queens, a Scarecrow and Neil Armstrong, it's a warts and all fast-paced comedy, with a huge heart. Based on a true story and recently made into a Motion Picture.
