Cheltenham Literature Festival: Gay Bar: Why We Went Out

Authors Paul Burston and Jeremy Atherton Lin and poet Joelle Taylor take us on a time-traveling, transatlantic bar hop through pulsing nightclubs, after-work dives and gay cafes. They explore why, in the era of Grindr and same-sex marriage, gay bars are closing at an alarming rate and ask what these spaces mean to people, how they are changing and what we stand to lose when they close their doors.
