Pride Guided Tours @ Shakepeare's Globe Theatre (until 23 Oct)

Step inside our iconic wooden O for a Pride Guided Tour of the Globe Theatre, bringing to life the queer stories and characters from Shakespeares life and times. What would life have been like for the queer community during Shakespeares lifetime? And how exactly are they linked to the theatre? Take a deep dive into an important era in LGBTQ+ history, from rebellious icons down in the yard to nobility in the galleries, and even the intimate letters between King James I and his favourite the Duke of Buckingham. Discover vivid records of diverse sexualities and gender identities in the writing of the time, including Shakespeares own Sonnets, and explore the queer relationships between characters in some of his most famous plays. This unique tour is packed with fascinating people, both real and fictional, and their unexpected stories.
