Manchester Pride 2024

The Manchester Pride Festival takes place over Summer Bank Holiday, 23rd - 26th August 2024. Manchester Pride campaigns for LGBTQ+ equality; celebrates LGBTQ+ life and creates opportunities that engage LGBT+ people so that they can thrive. Taking place across the full August Bank Holiday weekend, the Manchester Pride Festival hosts a variety of events, some free to attend and others require you to purchase a ticket. Parade: Saturday The Manchester Pride Parade is a march for equality and one of Manchester Pride Festival's most highly anticipated events. Thousands of people march proudly together through the streets of Manchester, in front of tens of thousands of supporters and allies cheering them along the way. 2019's Manchester Pride Parade was our biggest and boldest yet, with a whopping 200 organisations, over 14,000 people marching and tens of thousands spectators filling the streets with colour! Gay Village Party Across the full August Bank Holiday The roots of Manchester Pride and the Festival are firmly in the heart of our world-famous Gay Village. Taking place over all 4 days of the bank holiday weekend, the Gay Village Party proved to be the ultimate street party celebration as the sun shone down on the much loved cobbled streets! With community performances in Sackville Gardens, plus markets and parties across The Gay Villages venues, the Gay Village Party continued to be home to the hub of the festivals celebrations. Family Pride Saturday You're never too young to celebrate Pride, and we wanted to ensure families could take advantage of the festivities at Manchester Pride Festival! Youth Pride Sunday Youth Pride MCR is a free-to-attend event especially curated for the younger members of our LGBTQ+ family. This unique event brings together creativity, fashion, music and more as we create a safe and nourishing space for young people aged 14+, who wanted to experience Pride in a way designed just for them. Youth Pride MCR has been developed through engagement with young people from across Greater Manchester.
