Boys In The Buff @ Drayton Arms Theatre

Boys in the Buff sounds like a good bet for Christmas time. Especially if you like your performances au naturel! And judging by the cast lineup, there will be much to see and do at Boys in the Buff. Billed as an alternative to traditional pantomime with adult themes (no shit!), Boys in the Buff stars Aaron Blackburn, Samuel Howe-Barrett, Louis van Leer, Aaron Wood and Katarina Zofia. In the show, Diana and her boys sing, dance and tell stories about self-confidence, body image, and societys unreasonably high expectations on our appearance, and they share personal stories and dare each other to reveal more of themselves as the evening progresses. Theres much at stake as we are promised to leave the show with an enhanced self-worth, a song in our hearts and to have shared a few laughs along the way Shows on the 22 December and 6 January are clothing optional for the audience too. Creative team includes script and songs by Chris Burgess and additional songs by Sarah Travis; director and choreographer Robbie OReilly; designer David Shields; musical director Flynn Sturgeon; orchestrator Joe Louis Robinson; lighting designer Richard Lambert; and producers LAMBCO Productions and Peter Bull. "...a really camp, fun night out which sends its message out loud and proud in an exciting and highly entertaining way" - London Theatre 1 "Plenty of laughs, and a great score are just two of the many things that make this worth seeing, you can find out the rest of them for yourselves." - Theatre Weekly
