About this event - Tonight were deeply honoured to be joined live from New York by the legendary, multi award-winning Sarah Schulman - AIDS activist, filmmaker, historian, playwright and author of many books including Girls, Visions and Everything, After Dolores, People In Trouble, Rat Bohemia, The Child, The Cosmopolitans and Maggie Terry. Sarah will be discussing her new book about the history of ACT-UP, Let The Record Show. Also tonight we have author and Private Eye journalist Adam Macqueen, whose political thriller Beneath the Streets is the first in a series featuring rent-boy turned private detective Tommy Wildeblood and has been longlisted for The Polari Prize 2021. The second in the series, The Enemy Within, will follow in February 2022.
