Velvet-Club Connecting Lesbians & Bi-women around the World
Located in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley, AspenOUT and the Roaring Fork Gay & Lesbian Community Fund provides support and services to our diverse LBGT population of the valley, not to mention the tens of thousands of gay and lesbian travelers who visit the valley each year. With one of the highest concentrations of LBGT populations in the Rocky Mountains, we host and sponsor a variety of programs, educational forums, dinners, and recreational outings. Our primary fundraising opportunity each year is the annual Aspen Gay Ski Week held every January, when over 5,000 LBGT people skiers and non-skiers descend upon our serene mountain valley. Its a week long even many in the area love to attend whether they are gay or straight. The efforts from this event and others throughout the year have enabled AspenOUT and the Roaring fork Gay & Lesbian Community Fund to become a prominent funder for local and regional LBGT charities, providing several hundred of thousands dollars in funding in our short history.
