Jonny Woo's Un RoyalVariety Performance at Hackney Empire

Alt drag superstar Jonny Woo glides into Hackney Empire for a spectacular Un-Royal Variety show featuring the cream of Londons alternative cabaret scene, plus some very special international stars. An anarchic queer take on the annual Royal Variety Show, this one-off spectacular sees Woo collaborate with guests including operatic drag icon Le Gateau Chocolat, award-winning musical weirdos Bourgeois & Maurice and Jerry Springer the Opera composer Richard Thomas for a 21st century variety show thats definitely not fit for Her Majestys consumption. Jonny Woos Un-Royal Variety follows the sellout success of the legendary Gay Bingo finale in 2013. Dig out your blingiest bling, throw on a crown and come party with the UKs true royalty. Brexit: The Musical Brexit: The Musical Created by Jonny Woo and Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer The Opera, Ana Nicole, Made In Dagenham). A cast of East London performers re-live Britains confusing political summer in this ten minute musical extravaganza with a full rock backing band. Double Olivier-award winning opera singer George Ikediashi playing Nigel Farage, and comedian Jayde Adams (the third funniest woman in the world Dawn French) playing Boris Johnson. Chester Hayes (Florence + The Machine) is head of choreography leading a troupe of 20 East London club kids. This is currently the only scheduled performance of Brexit: The Musical so dont miss out! The Kate Middleton Choir Cast on the street and through word of mouth, this all-female choir screams NORMAL! That was until notorious East London scenester Max Allen dressed and styled them all to look exactly like Kate Middleton! Now they look like the wrong kind of normal. The Kate Middleton Choir will sing pop and R&B numbers on the night. Maude Adams & All Those Children This innumerable dance troupe is Jonny Woos cherry-picked bunch of East London nightlife personalities, club queens and dancers. Many of them perform at Glastonburys notorious gay club NYC Downlow, created by Block 9. Many of them accompanied Jonnys pub The Glory to Latitude Festival this year too, others you might recognise from super popular club night Sink The Pink. Maude Adams & All Those Children will perform two big numbers on the night.
