National Portrait Gallery - In Conversation: Queer Perspectives with Tim Redfern/Mathew Todd

Gain a Queer Perspective on our Collection with guest artist Tim Redfern and his special guest Matthew Todd as they discuss portraits which have a personal resonance. Queer Perspectives is a quarterly happening where guests identifying as LGBTQI respond to the Gallerys Collection. Matthew Todd is the out-going editor of the UKs best selling gay magazine, Attitude, for which he has been twice nominated as Mens Magazine Editor of the Year by the British Society of Magazine Editors. He is the author of the play Blowing Whistles, which has played 2 sell out 5 week runs in Sydney, Australia and in Melbourne, Adelaide, Manchester, Boston, Fire Island, and Fort Lauderdale. It has had 3 month long London runs including at the Leicester Square Theatre in 2008, where it was given 4 star reviews for the Evening Standard, The Spectator, The Stage, The Sunday Express and Time Out, which made it Critics Choice for two weeks running. His first book, Straight Jacket, is published by Bantam Press.
