Last year saw another fantastic Blackpool Pride Parade make its way down Blackpools famous Promenade. With wonderfully decorated floats, fabulous costumes, lively participants, super volunteers and thousands of spectators lining the route it was an amazing sight to see. This year Blackpool Pride Parade will be sponsored by Blackpool BID were planning on making it as big, bold and bright as ever for 2016! Regardless of sexual orientation, we invite everyone to take part and show that they believe in LGB&T equality and diversity in Blackpool. We want to light up the famous Golden Mile with a spectacular rainbow display, so what are you waiting for? Come and take part! The Blackpool Pride Parade starts at 11am at The Sandcastle Waterpark (next to South Pier) making its way along the Promenade towards North Pier. The Parade will then turn right into Church Street through the town centre, heading towards St. Johns Square in front of the Winter Gardens. This is where the Parade will end and the opening ceremony for Blackpool Pride Festival will take place before the events begin inside the Winter Gardens. Blackpool Pride Festival makes a commitment to respect disability and ensure our event is accessible to everyone. Our entertainment main stage has signed for those with hearing loss and we try to make posters readable to those with visual impairment. The Winter Gardens itself is fully accessible to wheelchair users and we do aim to have volunteers who will help those with mobility difficulties.
