Regard is the national LGBT Disabled People's Organisation, established in 1989. Regard campaigns to raise awareness of LGBT issues within the disability community and of disability issues within the LGBT community; represents the interests of LGBT disabled people in areas such as social care; and works to combat social isolation by opening up 'the scene' to make it more accessible. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss the key issues that affect LGBT disabled people. We welcome interest to attend from everyone, but are particularly keen to hear from all members of the LGBT disabled community, including people with physical and sensory impairments, people with learning difficulties, people with long-term health conditions and people with mental health difficulties. We want this event to empower LGBT disabled people and their allies to campaign for change on some of the key issues that affect them, and to help other organisations, like Stonewall, to ensure that our work is properly informed by the voices of the LGBT disabled community.
