Velvet-Club Connecting Lesbians & Bi-women around the World
A friendly and inclusive annual community event for lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or trans+ (LGBT+) people, their friends, families and supporters. Launched in 2013, Totnes Pride is an annual event that provides the whole community an opportunity to come together to celebrate diversity in the local area and raise awareness of the issues faced by the LGBT+ community in rural areas and beyond. Taking place on the first Saturday of September each year, previous guests include Proud2Be patrons Peter Tatchell & Christine Burns MBE, Elly Barnes, Shaun Dellenty, Jess MacIntyre and Suran Dickson. Open to everyone. Activities include: community art, Dots Cafe, community stands, a health and wellbeing area, an art craft and clay area, a panel discussion, workshops and informative talks, a high street procession, after party and much more.
