The Annual November launch of LGBT History Month is held in London this year and, given that we are covering hidden histories its apt that we are holding it in one of the capitals most fantastic hidden secrets. Hidden just behind Farringdon Station, the museum tells us about the history of the lay order, which pre-dates the Knights Templar, as well as covering the founding of the St Johns Ambulance. For art historians, it also houses Caravaggios The Card Sharp; a delightful depiction of the seedier side of the late Renaissance. Hidden Histories, or Coded Lives, focuses on LGBT people who have communicated the truth about themselves and their lives through some kind of code or secret existence. The evening will include expert speakers on our subjects, as well as entertainment and networking opportunities. Find out more on our Faces of 15 Anne Lister, Hugh Paddick and Kenneth Williams, Frida Kahlo and The Chevalier dEon de Beaumont. Help make your school LGBT-friendly! Diversity Choir will be performing and other guests will be confirmed closer to the date.
