Oval Gallery - 'A BLINDED NOMAD DRAWS A ZODIAC' exhibition

Oval Gallery is pleased to present the artworks of artists Luke Dowd, Steve Green, Alex Hudson and Zo Paul in a new exhibition, 'A Blinded Nomad Draws A Zodiac'. "We operate as Nomads in the construct and flow of the real, setting sail for functional utopias- If what we can define as a practice of Nomadism sets in motion the real, in all its forms, tending to an endless displacement where thoughts and forms are translated. Reassembled into new narratives, producing alternative social contexts gained from using existing materials, signs, symbols or signifiers to communicative effect, then language is no longer regarded peripheral to our grasp of the world we live in, but central to it. Intrinsically tied to our human condition of being, we hold up mirrors to reflect the architecture of our surroundings. To navigate or explore the terrain through mark-making or trace of these artistic visions, the reality of existence and physicality of the present remains, however the transcendental paths or voyages are given light and doors opened to the psyche. The artists involved in this exhibition riff with the form, and inform dialogue using their own vernacular." A good traveller has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving - Lao Tzu
